Believing God in Faith

"Faith is trust or commitment to what you think is true."  - William Lane Craig

There comes a point when we’ve pleaded with God enough for our breakthrough, and we have to believe that God will deliver on His promises as if He’s already done so.  Jesus told his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24, NIV).  We, also being His disciples, must trust that God will still do for us today what He did back then.  This requires faith in God beyond what we can physically see.  We may not have what we’ve asked for from God now, but just as Jacob held on to God to receive his blessing, we too must hold onto God’s promises that He will move on our behalf.  Let’s reaffirm our faith in God today when we pray, shall we?

And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23, ESV).
