Vision Beyond

"When I think of vision, I have in mind the ability to see above and beyond the majority." -Chuck Swindoll

There is a proverb which says, “Necessity is the mother of invention,” because innovators pinpoint the needs of others or even what they don’t yet know what they need, and they formulate a vision for something that doesn’t exist yet to meet those needs.  A vision does not always come by way of a loud life-altering moment, but sometimes it comes over time by way of many conversations, books, podcasts, and other sources that begin to form an impression on our hearts.  Moreover, God doesn’t always stop us in our tracks with an epic blinding light, like he did with Apostle Paul, to give us this vision.  Sometimes God gives us this vision in the seemingly ordinary moments of life while we were doing something else.  Other times, it’s getting away to still and quiet places of nature that our eyes begin to open. When we pray, let’s pray that God would give us a vision beyond what we can physically see.

Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18, KJV).
