Harvest Time

“Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.” -Og Mandino

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I really thought that by now I would be further along than where I am.”?  Maybe you thought that you would have accomplished the goals you’d set much earlier in your life, or that the goals you did reach would have brought the desired happiness outcome.  We question if God is pleased with us because sometimes we do not feel pleased with where and who we are.  If you are doing your best to honor God, He is pleased with you!  So, stay faithful and don’t give up.  Recognize too that there are some trees that do not bear fruit for many years, and likewise, we may not see the fruit of what we have sown immediately: but it might take many years or even decades before we see the difference we have actually made.  Sometimes we may never realize it in this lifetime but in the next.  God is working in us and through us whether we always see it or not.

….let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9, ESV)
