Purposed To Praise

“Wash your face every morning in a bath of praise.” -Charles Spurgeon

One day Jesus road a donkey through the streets, and a large crowd of his disciples rejoiced and praised his name.  The Pharisees told Jesus to quiet them, but Jesus said, “If they kept quiet, then the rocks would cry out.”  In other words, the disciples were living out their purpose by praising God.  Let’s find something to be thankful for and rejoice over today.  How about just that we’re here, with oxygen in our lungs, in good health, with food to eat, clean water to drink, with roofs over our heads, and clothes on our bodies?  How about that Jesus loved us enough to die for us so that we could have Heaven with him?  There’s always something for us to praise God for if we just look for it.

Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD! Praise the LORD! (Psalm 150:6, NLT)
