“When God is speaking, one word is more than enough.” –Steven Furtick

One day Jesus met a Roman military officer who explained that his servant was sick.  Jesus responded by saying, “I will come and heal him.”  The officer replied in not so many words, “I am not worthy to have you in my home.  Just say the word, and he’ll be healed.”   Perhaps without knowing a lot about Jesus’ teachings, the officer simply understood that Jesus had authority to radically change his situation.  Jesus replied, “With no one in Israel have I found such faith.” Funny how someone that was not a follower of Jesus could have more faith than those who followed him.  The lesson is that it doesn’t matter who you are—whether you follow Jesus are you’re far from Him—just one word from Jesus is more than enough to turn your situation around.

Jesus said, You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it (John 14:14, NIV).
