A Whisper

"You may pray for an hour and still not pray.
You may meet God for a moment and then
be in touch with Him all day."  -Fredrik Wisloff
God, the biggest Being in the universe chooses in Scripture time and time again to reveal Himself with a “still small voice.”  Not by shouting, but a whispering.  God whispers so that you’ll get closer to Him to listen.  To hear Him sometimes you must also learn to shut out the commotion around you.  Turn off the car radio and tune into God.  Stop posting on the your social networks and start praising your Savior. God speaks to those that diligently attempt to connect with Him.

….that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1, ESV).

  1. Excellent observation. Silencing the convenient noise with which we intentionally surround ourselves at times to shut out the Lord is the first step of obedience and spiritual growth. Let us apply this daily: "Be still and know that I am God." Kansas's "Carry On Wayward Son" will still sound just as spectacular tomorrow.
