“I know of no more encouraging fact than the
unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor.” -Henry David Thoreau
There were low points in David’s
life to which David felt like he didn’t have a friend in the world. There wasn’t anyone to encourage him,
but he encouraged himself in the LORD (1 Sam. 30:6). There will probably be low points in our lives to which it
may feel like there just isn’t anybody there for us. It seems like we’re all alone. If you’re low, don’t stay there. Encourage yourself in the LORD by focusing on the many good
things that has happened in your life.
What, what would have become of me] had I not
believed that I
would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living!
(Psalms 27:13,
The Amplified Bible)
