Character is Cumulative

“The force of character is cumulative.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Imagine each decision that you make is a single brick: building good character is no more a single act than building a home is laying down a single brick.  The decisions that you make today affect who you become and what you are able to accomplish tomorrow.  Wise decisions lay a solid foundation today, so that eventually you will live within a home that can withstand the test of time.  Rain or shine, good character entails that you will have a cool, clean, and comfortable place to live.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5, NIV).
