Seek God's Presence

“I want the presence of God Himself, or I don't want anything at all to do with religion... I want all that God has or I don't want any.”  ― A.W. Tozer

Ever had days where you felt like God was far away?  Of course God never leaves us, but for a few days maybe we leave Him.  God doesn’t change; we do. We get busy, our natural desires get in the way, and before we know it—we no longer sense God’s presence.  By presence I’m not just talking about the chills that make the hair on your arm stand at church.  The Hebrew word for “presence” is “face.”  To seek the face of God you will need to draw so desperately close to Him that you can see every detail of His character—the curvature of His cheekbones and the dimples of His smile.  Even to the point that when you close your eyes you have memorized what God looks like.  Today no matter what you do, stop and seek the presence of God.

Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore (Psalm 105:4, AMP).
