The reality is so many of life’s battles are fought in the
mind: “I’m not good enough, I’m not smart enough, or no one really cares about
what I have to say.” Negative
thoughts make a negative person. If
someone wants to remove unhealthy toxins from their body, they go on a cleanse
because a healthy eater makes a healthy body. Christians must go on a soul detox. Let’s ask God to identify and remove
the critical, discontent, and fearful lies that we have chosen to believe that
limit us from God’s purpose. Each
day you either choose to dwell on thoughts that bring death or bring life, the
decision is yours.
Finally,
brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or
praiseworthy--think about such things
(Philippians 4:8, NIV).
