Why Do It?

“It’s so hard when I have to, and so easy when I want to.”  Annie Gottlier

Often times people treat God as if He’s a ritual on their to-do list: He’s something they tend to after they brush their teeth and before taking out the trash.  If you have ever been passionate about a hobby—whether be skateboarding, acting, or triathlons—it is something you spend time doing because you want to.  I pray today that your relationship with God becomes what you live to do, something you can’t get through your day without doing, and even when you’re not able to spend time praying or reading your Bible, you just can’t stop thinking about the next time you seek God.

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek (Psalm 27:8, NIV).
