When Everything Is Meaningless

“Meaninglessness does not come from being weary of pain: meaninglessness comes from being weary of pleasure.” -Ravi Zacharias

Computers do crash. Homes are foreclosed. People pass away. There comes a point in a person’s life when things of this world become meaningless; everything they worked hard for all those years will inevitably be left to those after them. We cannot take anything with us in the afterlife--so what’s the point of worrying about stuff now? Our only hope is Jesus who brings a perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. When God truly lives in us, whether times are good or bad, we live in such a way that reflects His everlasting goodness.

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways (Psalm 25:8, NIV).
