Vines Need Fine Pruning

“Necessity is the mother of invention.” -Plato

In the fall time a tree must be pruned if it’s going to bear fruit in the spring time. When old branches are cut off, the tree may appear barren for a short period, but later it invents natural beauty. If God is the vine and we are the branches: often times we need to allow God to prune us, whether it be of a relationship, ambition, dream, attitude, or habit--if we are to truly grow to realize our potential in God’s devine plan.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5, NIV).
