Keeping Jesus Private?

“Americans will respect your beliefs if you just keep them private.”  -Bill O'Reilly

Subjects like politics and religion are said to be best left out of dinner conversation because you do not want to risk offending anyone.  Here’s a worldview:  Jesus was offensive.  He claimed to be God, man’s only way to Heaven, and this ideology was polarizing and divisive.  Some felt disrespected.  Never once though did he keep his belief private: the salvation of the world was too important.  Today let’s pray for discernment in sharing the Good News that Jesus is God, our rock and salvation.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes… (Romans 1:16, NIV).
