The Good of Doing What's Right

“You can’t enjoy life if you aren’t nourishing your body.”  -Tracy Gold

Sometimes you can eat healthy, not knowing all the good it’s doing in your body: it enables you to think more acutely and move more agilely.  However, if even for a day you splurge on sweets and neglect to nourish your body—you feel differently.  Sometimes you can do what’s right, not knowing all the good it’s doing spiritually: this often times enables you to hear God’s voice and inherit His blessings.  However, if even for a day you splurge in sin and neglect your Nurturer—you see differently.

Then Jesus explained, “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work”  (John 4:34, NLT).
