The Joy of Jesus

“I sometimes wonder whether all pleasures are not substitutes for joy.” -C. S. Lewis

People look at you and without you saying anything they know “there’s just something about you.” The perception is you’ve got “it” (whatever it is)—the X factor, something intangible they want. You’ve got something no worldly pleasure can bring them: joy. Jesus said this in John 15:11, “These things I have spoken to you, that MY joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” It’s that easy: you know the joy of following Christ, and this joy exudes from the essence of who you are, and is exhibited for everyone to see.
