“Confidence without humility is arrogance; humility without confidence is weakness.” –Steven Furtick

It’s been said that the art of carrying oneself is a “delicate balance”—and humility and confidence delicately balance a Christian. Many will have enough situations and even people that will endeavor to humble them if they aren’t humble already. Confidence is defined as self-assurance; as Christians we are assured in something greater than self: God. In doing, we take any glory we receive from our God-given abilities, and reflect that glory off ourselves and back to God. God then can greater glorify us in that process. Luke 14:11 states, For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
